Document Viewer: PDF & Files
This Privacy Policy explains how ASO Positive, s. r. o. ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Document Viewer: PDF & Files mobile app (the "App").
1.Overview
The App is designed to work fully offline. Documents you add (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text files, etc.) are stored only in the App's private storage on your own device. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to your documents, and the App has no upload or file-sharing feature that sends your files anywhere.
2.Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or the contents of your documents. The names of your files, the folders they came from, and anything you type into the search box never leave your device.
3.Information Processed by Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, which process limited data as described below:
3.1 Advertising — Google AdMob
Free-plan users are shown ads served by Google's AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. The App requests non-personalized ads from AdMob. See Google's own Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and AdMob's data disclosure for details on what Google collects and how it's used.
3.2 Usage Analytics — Google Firebase Analytics
To understand how many people use the App and on which devices, we collect anonymous usage statistics through Google Firebase Analytics. We do not record what you do inside the App. Only Google's standard, automatically collected measurements are used: that the App was opened or updated, how long a session lasted, whether the App crashed, that an ad was displayed, that a subscription was purchased, plus technical details such as your device model, operating system version, country, and language.
We never send the name or contents of any document, the path or name of any folder, or the text you type into the search box — none of that ever leaves your device. These statistics are not linked to your name or any account, and we do not set a user identifier that would tie them to you personally.
In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, the consent dialog shown when you first open the App controls whether these statistics may be linked to an identifier stored on your device. If you agree, they are. If you decline, nothing is stored on or read from your device and nothing is linked across sessions — Google receives only anonymous, aggregate signals that cannot be traced back to you or your device. You can change your choice at any time via the "Ad Privacy Options" link shown next to the ad banner. See Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and Firebase's privacy documentation for details on how Google processes this data.
3.3 Subscriptions & Purchases — RevenueCat, Apple, Google
If you subscribe to the paid ("Pro") plan, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase receipt and determine whether your subscription is active. This involves sharing a device/account identifier and purchase/subscription status (not payment details) with RevenueCat. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
4.Permissions We Request
File access (document picker, and on Android, optional "All files access") — used only to let you choose files to add to the App or to find document files already on your device. We only read files you explicitly add; we don't scan or transmit files off-device.
5.Data Retention & Deletion
Documents you add stay on your device until you delete them in the App or uninstall it. Subscription status is retained by Apple/Google/RevenueCat per their own retention policies, independent of the App. Anonymous analytics events are retained by Google Firebase for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.
6.Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7.Your Rights (EU/EEA, UK, and other regions with similar laws)
Because documents never leave your device, there is generally nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. For data processed by AdMob or RevenueCat on their own servers, you can exercise your rights (access, deletion, objection) directly with Google or by contacting us and we'll pass the request to RevenueCat.
8.Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
